DOG WALKER III: WEDDING SIEGE (AUDIOBOOK)
"BULLETS & BLOWHOLES"
Dog walker Ben Carter is shocked to discover that his mom's fiancé Alvar is an "encantado" – a shapeshifting dolphin that seduces human women and preys on their flesh. He races to Minnesota to stop their wedding, leaving demon dog Toby back in Chicago.
Ben arrives too late to stop the ceremony, but when masked gunmen invade the reception, taking hostages and demanding Alvar's head, he is isolated alone with his new aquatic stepfather. Can the dog walker make it out alive with no inugami at his side? Can a dolphin that walks like a man truly be trusted? Who are these strange and anonymous terrorists?
Lock the doors. Hide the wine. The wedding siege has begun.

Narrated once again by Chicago’s own Patrick Trahey (Dog Walker II, The XII), this audiobook has thrills, it has chills, it has kills…it has [record scratch] a dolphin?!?! Look, audible took like a month to approve the last book and this one went through in like three days, which means I’m cranking this substack out in one draft. You’re getting the hackwork, folks. But what’s not hackwork (perfect segue) is Trahey’s narration, which is tremendous! I don’t know how he keeps that many accents straight while still doing an actual performance. I’m really happy with how this one turned out, and I’m excited for you guys to hear it.
We have a few promo codes through ACX, so if you’d like a free copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review, let me know!
What Else is Going On
I’m about 1/4 of the way through rewriting the next book (non-Dog Walker), hoping to get that finalized and published by the end of this summer. I’ll say more when there’s more to say!
I’m still on letterboxd logging every movie I watch in that brief window where my kids are asleep and I’m not. Mostly trying to clear the queue of all the blu-rays and 4ks I’ve bought over the past few years and haven’t actually watched. After that I’m going to watch every single Godzilla movie every made, minus the ones I’ve already seen. This is research for a book, which means I haven’t started yet.
I built a moose!
Talk to you in a few months!
